Air Force One: The Deluxe Edition (CD)
The #1 most requested CD Club title is finally here! Air Force One: The Deluxe Edition with music composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith. 46 tracks across 2 CD's!

In scores resounding with patriotic brass and militaristic action, Jerry Goldsmith memorably saluted America’s brothers in arms. His themes embodied generals in service to God and country (Patton, MacArthur), men fighting for survival in an America gone astray (First Blood, Capricorn One), an analyst pitted against enemies both foreign and domestic (The Sum of All Fears) and a peace-seeking president combating a coup (Seven Days in May). But no noble warrior that Goldsmith accompanied had faced the impossible odds of a commander-in-chief evading terrorists aboard 1997’s Air Force One. Demanding all of the excitement, emotion and suspense that Goldsmith could muster in a mostly confined setting, it was a film that put the composer in his own heroic race against time. Recorded in a span of only three weeks, (with additional music from Joel McNeely), Air Force One stands out as one of the signature highlights in Jerry Goldsmith’s unparalleled career.

In this action drama, Harrison Ford plays James Marshall, a onetime combat hero in the Vietnam War who is now President of the United States. Communist Radicals hijack Air Force One with Marshall and his family on board. The President must use his strength and intelligence to keep the terrorists at bay and devise a plan to allow his family to escape to safety, while on the ground the vice-president (Glenn Close), the secretary of defense (Dean Stockwell), and the attorney general (Philip Baker Hall) grapple over what to do and how much control to take in this crisis.

Looney Tunes: Back in Action: The Deluxe Edition (CD)
The final film score of Jerry Goldsmith’s legendary career gets a long-awaited CD Club treatment: Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) reunited Goldsmith with director Joe Dante (Gremlins, Innerspace, Matinee) for an insane musical journey befitting Warner Bros.’ classic cartoon characters, with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck starring in a live-action/animation hybrid alongside human characters played by Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman, Timothy Dalton and Steve Martin.

The globetrotting adventure demanded one of Goldsmith’s zaniest scores ever, a sort of indescribable combination of slapstick, action and whimsy that lurches from high-energy symphonic chases to pop-influenced flourishes to Carl Stalling-styled “Mickey Mousing.” All of it has Goldsmith’s effortlessly melodic touch, with the special brand of left-field inspiration that always accompanied his work for Dante.

Previously released by Varèse Sarabande at the time of the movie, this comprehensive 2CD set features not only Goldsmith’s vastly expanded score, but rewrites and additional music by John Debney, Cameron Patrick and a handful of others—as well as alternates and outtakes by Goldsmith and the complete 2003 album program. Packaging features new liner notes by Daniel Schweiger (incorporating new interviews with Dante, Debney and Patrick) and Goldsmith’s longtime friend and recording engineer, Bruce Botnick.

Along Came A Spider: The Deluxe Edition (CD)
One of Jerry Goldsmith’s final film scores comes to the CD Club in a long-awaited Deluxe Edition: Along Came a Spider (2001), Paramount Pictures’ second film adaptation of James Patterson’s Alex Cross thriller novels, although taken from the first book. Morgan Freeman reprised his role as Cross (from Kiss the Girls), teaming up with Monica Potter as a Secret Service agent in search of a U.S. Senator’s daughter, who is kidnapped by a twisted adversary.

Goldsmith reteamed with New Zealand-born director Lee Tamahori, for whom he scored The Edge (1997), and provided a tense, taut score in his thriller wheelhouse. From his earliest days scoring television, to 1970s landmarks like Capricorn One and Coma, to the granddaddy of the 1990s sex thrillers, Basic Instinct, no composer was as fluent or effective with the thriller genre as Goldsmith. By 2001, the composer had modernized and refined his suspense style to the point where there was not a single wasted note. Along Came a Spider pulses and twitches with uneasy throbs, lurching into orchestral action for moments of shock and violence, and nobly sets a powerful French horn theme (for the forces of good) against a brooding tapestry of darkness—all while the clock ticks away on a young victim’s life.

Released as a 35-minute CD by Varèse Sarabande at the time of the film, Along Came a Spider is expanded for the Deluxe Edition to the complete 64-minute score, in film sequence. A bonus track of outtakes (including Goldsmith’s chit-chat on the scoring stage) is curated by Goldsmith’s longtime friend, recording engineer and album producer Bruce Botnick.

U.S. Marshals : The Deluxe Edition (CD)
Music composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith, our deluxe edition expands the original release from 9 to a whopping 39 tracks!  The album was remastered from the original sources by Bruce Botnick, Jerry Goldsmith's recording engineer for the original scoring sessions.

Militaristic snare drums, hammering percussion and French horns along with synth percussion puts, staccato use of the piano and keyboard percussion, define Jerry Goldsmith’s score to Stuart Baird’s 1998 action thriller U.S. Marshals.

In the sequel to the 1993 blockbuster The Fugitive, Tommy Lee Jones returns as United States Marshal Sam Gerard: He has been assigned to escort a federal prisoner to a maximum-security prison in Missouri. On the same flight is Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes), who has been arrested and charged with the murders of two Federal agents, though he insists he's innocent. The plane is involved in an accident leading to a crash, and after helping to rescue some of the passengers, Sheridan escapes. The State Department informs Gerard that finding Sheridan and putting him back behind bars is a top priority, and Gerard sets out on his trail, with the very much uncalled-for assistance of eccentric FBI agent John Royce (Robert Downey Jr.). However, Gerard soon begins to wonder how Sheridan became such an important man in the eyes of the government, while Sheridan is determined to find out who turned him in to the authorities.
