This is the first CD collection to feature all of the duets that Wynn Stewart recorded with Jan Howard. In addition this release also features many of the biggest solo hits by both artists, including the top 5 hit “Wishful Thinking” by Wynn Stewart and the top 15 hit “The One You Slip Around With” by Jan Howard.
Along with Merle Haggard, Tommy Collins and Buck Owens, Wynn Stewart was one of the leading figures of the "Bakersfield Sound." The collection features the song "Another Day, Another Dollar."
The Zydeco Part Band is led by accordionist Doug Legacy of the now-defunct Oingo Boingo band. This is good-time dance music. Legacy gets an assist from a roster of fine musicians, including Mark Shark on guitar, mandolin, and vocals; Rick Eckstein on bass; and Gary Ray on drums. The musicians draw on swamp pop, country, and Caribbean sounds, as well as zydeco, to provide some outstanding dance numbers such as "What You Gonna Do?" and "Bon Temps Roulez." Legacy contributes several songs himself, notably "Guiness and Gumbo" and "Early in the Morning."
This release features the best tracks from The Zydeco Party Band's three albums, along with five tracks that were previously available on CD only on their web site and at their concerts.
