This title is now sold out Music Composed and Conducted by Georges Delerue There will never be another Georges Delerue. His melodic gifts were truly astounding. His music is absolutely infectious. Here we have a score from 1979 in the genre that Delerue redefined. A love story set at the Cannes Film Festival was ideal for the Frenchman. Luckily, director Michael Ritchie felt the same way. An Almost Perfect Affair was composed the same year as A Little Romance, which would go on to win the composer the Academy Award. This rapturous score features on of Delerue’s most uplifting themes. It exudes unrestrained joy. Delerue made music like this seem effortless. That no scores since his passing in 1992 come close to this level of charm and romance makes clear what an utterly unique talent Delerue was. His music is simply “joie de vivre” personified. 1.
